We’re a ‘remote-first’ company.👌🏽 (This is different to being 'remote-friendly/allowed', or ‘All-remote’). We have a distributed team and have adopted a Work From Anywhere (WFA) approach. We believe this puts people in control of how they balance their professional and personal lives.

Many people ask what we mean when we say CybSafe is a 'remote-first' company. Hopefully this helps.👇🏻

What is 'remote-first'?

Remote-first means working remote is the default. It means we make sure that every member of the team can fully participate, whether physically present or not.

Remote-first also means we're intentional about the tools that we use, and how we plan our company culture to be as inclusive as possible of remote or distributed tribe members, while allowing everyone to be the most productive.

A successful remote-first company depends on a strong culture of transparency, trust and empowerment. 👊

Remote-first organisations optimise their workplaces for remote. They create documentation, policies, and workflows that work when assuming that 100% of the organisation is remote, even if some continue to occasionally visit a company-owned office.

These companies work to ensure that offices are simply venues to work remotely from, and are not the epicentre of power or culture.

Foundational pillars

To help us successfully live this vision have some foundational pillars we adhere to.

  1. Deliberate and relentless pursuit of togetherness
  2. Asynchronous communication and active information flow
  3. Strong virtual connections and support networks
  4. Inclusivity, autonomy and trust

What does this mean about the way we work?
