We’re a ‘remote-first’ company.👌🏽 (This is different to being 'remote-friendly/allowed', or ‘All-remote’). We have a distributed team and have adopted a Work From Anywhere (WFA) approach. We believe this puts people in control of how they balance their professional and personal lives.

Many people ask what we mean when we say CybSafe is a 'remote-first' company. Hopefully this helps 👉 Remote-first: What does this mean at CybSafe?

Where can I work from? 💻

You can generally move anywhere you want within the country or state in which you are contracted. You don’t need permission and your compensation won't change; eg, if when you are hired you live in London, feel free to relocate to anywhere within the UK. Our US Tribe can move freely within their contracted state (i.e. Massachusetts).

You have the flexibility to travel and work around the world on a short-term basis, provided you adhere to any personal tax or local work guidelines. You’ll be responsible for getting any proper work/travel authorisations. It is important, however, that you discuss your intention to travel and work from another country with your line manager and the people team ahead of time. You’ll also need to ensure that a change in time zones doesn’t negatively impact your ability to do your job well or be available for team/business gatherings. You’ll also need to retain your permanent home address and tax residency in the country you were originally hired in, for tax and payroll purposes.

Can I move permanently and work in a different country? ✈️

We’d love to support fully flexible work arrangements including the ability to work outside the country you were hired in on a longer-term or permanent basis, however, we are to a degree constrained by perceived risks to the business, and the cost associated.

We are currently not in a position to hire outside of the UK or within certain US states.

<aside> ✈️ In all cases, tribe members must seek approval from the People team for any potential change in work location or country of residence before making the move, as the company’s stance is subject to change as national guidance evolves.
